Apostille certificate is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which is the only authority issuing the certificate clauses. Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not have competence in checking whether the document is authentic and whether the content of this document is true. Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms the credibility of the signature so that the document can be considered outside Polish borders. The certificate is suitable for submission to the document for legal transactions in countries that have signed the Hague Conventions of 1961 for abolishing the requirement of legalisation for foreign public documents.
